A Town in The Middle of Jungle

Hello....
Welcome back and thank you for patiently waiting for my next story. So, kali ni, I nak bawa all of you menyelami pengalaman I merantau dari klinik tempat I bertugas ke klinik lain... And belive it or not, dalam hutan belantara yang tebal... THERE IS A TOWN IN IT... Percaya lahhhh...

So, pendek cerita, I dan PPP I diarahkan untuk membantu dalam program kesihatan di Kilo 10 (Kilometer 10) Samling Base Camp which is "Karnival Kesihatan Ulu Baram 2012". On Friday 21st September 2012, dari tengah hari, I dan PPP I dah ready fizikal dan mental nak melalui sungai ke Kampung Long Pilah which takes 1 hour by boat. Luckyly, I call my sister in-charge and mentioned that both of us nak pegi guna boat. Then... she said " tak payah U 2 pegi mana-mana. Nanti Willy datang ambik U 2". Nah... lalu punah harapan yang excited giler nak guna boat pergi Long Pillah. Hahaha...

Tunggu punya tunggu sepanjang hari...dah penat tunggu akhirnya sampai juga si Willy (PPP di KK Long Pillah) around 5pm. Tak tunggu lama, terus jer both of us masuk kereta dan pecut ke Long Pillah. By land, guess what how long it takes to reach there... 1 hour half. Why I say so.. sebab jalan dari Kampung Long Miri ke simpang jalan camp dah makan masa 1 jam... coz jalan rosak. Bergoncang macam naik coaster... We have to stay di Long Pillah, sebab Willy dah penat and mengantuk..  Al-maklumlah, dah refer patient awal pagi, 6 hours drive to MIri, mana tak penat. So, we reach Long Pillah at 6.30pm. I stay kat rumah kak Gloria, while my PPP at Willys' house. Bersebelah jer...

At night, memandangkan thats the first time the both of us sampai di Long Pillah, and thats the mission during works in rural area, clinic visiting and photo taking is a must... And guess what, their quarters, and clinic is better than my clinic... yang umpama rumah setinggan yang bakal runtuh. My clinic, no tile floor, but Long Pillah clinic, siap tile floor lagi. Ruang yang besar, kelengkapan yang cukup dan sebagainya. And compare to my clinic.. tak payah cakap la... meletihkan I taip jak.. haha... Layan picture lagi best kan...

Next mornig, 22nd September 2012,Carnival day. From Long Pillah it takes 1 hour jer... And i met my fellow friend Alex (PPP KK Long San), Ningkan ( PK PKB), and banyak lagi la. Macam orang dah betahun-tahun tak jumpa la pula... haha... Sampai jer, terus kena tarik ke NCD team. There you go, tugas I register client yang datang dan my PPP pula, screening client. It's a long day and for sure a fun one.

Lunch time, I terkejut.... I thought this place is just like my working station... but I'm wrong. Umpama rusa masuk kampung, this place is a very nice place and macam 1 small and exclussive town. Mana tak nya, tempat makan jer dah macam kat tempat pelancongan. Tengak pics dibawah kalau tak percaya. Dan bukan tu jer, I tak tau nak cakap apa dah.. tgk jer gambar...

So.. this is the place where we have our lunch, dinner and etc.. best kan....

And next.. @ 4.00pm, I dan PPP I, pergi ke Long Naah. Sebenarnya, the 2 of us escape... hehe.. jangan marah yer chief...  Pergi ke Long Naah, kena naik perahu untuk ke seberang. Air sungai, tak payah cakap.. memang best. Dan kalau I ada bawa extra attire, memang I tak tunggu lama, terjun and mandi sungai. Air batu kerangan tu... jernih lagi... Memang tak rugi I follow colleague I balik Long Naah ambil pakaian.

Mulanya kami diarahkan stay di KK Long San, tapi memandangkan jalan licin dan hari hujan, we squeeze ourself tinggal di homestay Samling Camp. Tanpa diduga lagi, ingatkan homestay macam rumah sebuah tinggal ramai-ramai... rupanya challet hotel. Imagine that dalam middle of jungle ada challet hotel. Never expect dalam hutan punya challet hotel pakai kipas jer tau... tapi pakai aircond 24 jam... Well, as we know... owner is samling camp,they are able to do it. And what best is... semua challet hotel,is made of the most expensive and tough woods. Layan pics kat bawah.. sure u'all like it.
